16 Things

I was tagged on Flickr to post 16 random things about myself. I think pretty much everyone has seen this already but I’m posting it anyway since I’m feeling uninspired today.

I did this once before when the list was only 6 things long and I had the hardest time coming up with stuff. Here goes anyway. :)

1. I’m a perfume addict. Perfume is akin to shoes - it always makes me feel better with it on and it always fits.

2. I complain a lot, in jest. I hardly ever mean the things I say seriously.

3. I’m not a technology fan. I was probably the last person on earth to get a DVD player and I think this whole Blu-Ray thing is a conspiracy to get us to chuck all of our old DVDs for new ones.

4. Speaking of movies, I’ve probably seen Bridget Jones’s Diary over 150 times. It’s playing right now, in fact. On VHS. :)

5. I love babies which makes me think I want more kids. Then I remember that middle bit from 18 months to present with M (14, almost 15) and I figure I’d better quit while I’m ahead.

6. I cry a lot and for any given reason. It’s the one thing I’d change about myself if I were given a chance.

7. I didn’t graduate from high school. It used to be a great source of shame to me but the ex-husband uses it against me so I decided to own it. People can’t use something against you if you don’t let them. For the record, I got my GED. It was easy. ha.

8. I’m the youngest of 9 children.

9. I’ve been in a relationship for over 4 years. I’m completely baffled by this.

10. I’m extremely impatient. Things like R gathering his things and taking forever to get out of the car when I’ve already disembarked drives me insane.

11. Speaking of driving me insane, my cats do exactly that nearly on a daily basis. But, they’re my little buddies.

12. I believe myself to be a strong person. Too much shit has happened in my life to think otherwise.

13. I’m addicted to trashy reality TV. I fought it for a long time, but, why fight it? haha.

14. I like cheese. A lot.

15. I don’t mind staying at home on any given night or any holiday. I like being alone.

16. I have a horrible attention span. For instance, I can’t stand seeing movies in the theater. And I have ordered PPV movies before, they’ll play all day and I never watch the whole thing from beginning to end.
