I simply will not put this off any longer…
I mean visiting my own blog. I meant to nearly every day last week, but, also nearly every day last week, I was asleep by 9:30. How sad is that, really? I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Is it that I’m getting older? Is it the job? Is it that I’m lazy as all hell?
Probably all 3. I have to post something today since Inga put up a new layout for me. How cute is this?? See, I can say that because I had absolutely nothing to do with it. Haha! Nothing! I tell myself I want to learn this stuff but I take one look at all that coding crap and wander off to pluck my eyebrows. I have the attention span of a gnat.
So, thank you Inga!! I love it!!
Other than that, things have been pretty boring around here. How exciting can it be when you’re in bed before 10pm? Even on Friday! Yes! Even Friday! I suck! I know!
The cats have been bad, per normal.
The kid has played some baseball.
And I’ve actually had some girl time the past 2 weekends.
I think it would be shaping up to be a decent summer if a) it wasn’t so damn hot in AZ, b) R wasn’t leaving me soon and c) I wasn’t sleeping so damn much!!

Other random thoughts & goings on since we last chatted:
No matter how cool you think are, or how “hip” you may still be, or how much you may remember being a teen yourself - you will always be uncool to your kid. It’s kind of sad, but what can you do? Do kids EVER think their parents are cool? I have to kind of laugh at M and think to myself: Boy, you are SO lucky I’m your mother!

I really did a number on my back which leads me to the long held notion that the gym sucks. Ha. No, I do need to get back to the gym but not before I get this checked out. Checked out and have some vicodin thrown my way. Oh, Uncle Vic, where are you when I need you??

The SATC movie is like watching a 2 hour long episode. It really made me miss the series. I was anxious to get home to talk about the movie with R, but he was having none of it. He said he wants to see it himself, but only on DVD. Tee hee.

I have been doing a lot of grocery shopping at Fresh & Easy. Some days are better than others as far as sales go but I do believe this is my new favorite place to shop. That aside, I have discovered two things about myself that I never knew previously: #1) I love cooking with spinach and now think a frozen bag of the stuff is a must-have staple. And #2) There is no reason on this earth $2.99 bags of coffee needs to make me as happy as it did. NO REASON. I bought 3. I fought the urge to buy a fourth.

I have also been shopping online a lot lately, which is very odd for me. I’m much too impatient to wait for purchases to arrive in the mail. Lately, though, I have found myself falling into email traps. Email traps such as one from Prescriptives telling me not only will I have free shipping (I HATE PAYING FOR SHIPPING) but a sampler trio. And they threw in yet another sample. Before I knew it, I was placing an order for a brow pencil. Email marketing? Works! Who knew?

I also ordered my girlfriend-in-my-dreams Work Out DVD but it hasn’t arrived yet. R says I shouldn’t attempt the DVD til I get my back checked. I think he’s just trying to keep me away from Jackie. Um, that’s a joke. Nothing could keep me away from Jackie!!
Joking again. I’ll wait to attempt the work out. *grumble*
