Weekend Visitor

R’s coming back for the weekend! *skip* I’m really happy about this. Not only because I miss the big lug but I wanted him around for Mother’s Day. The big plan is going to see Iron Man with the kid but it’d be a lot more fun with R. Mostly because I don’t REALLY want to see it - but both R and the kid do.

And then there’s the tiny, little, small issue of his birthday Tuesday - which I have yet to shop for. Yet to shop for puts a crimp in the “mailing it to San Diego in time for his birthday” plan.

Now that he’ll be back, I don’t have to mail it, you see? Ha?!

I hate mail. It’s 2008 - why must we still even use it?

I can’t tell you what I’m getting him in case he reads this, which I doubt he will due to the fact that after nearly 4 years together - THE JIG IS UP. I HAVE NO MORE SECRETS. But the chance is there that I’ll ruin the surprise and, boy, did I outdo myself in the thinking of a gift this year.

R warned, “The chief said if she needs me I have to come back by Monday.”

Me, faux-peeved: “Um, did you tell her your actual birthday is TUESDAY?”

R snorts, “She could give a flying you-know-what!”

Me, “I thought C.O. stood for compassionate officer…”

Apparently, I am wrong. I am glad I’ll see him soon, though. But not so thrilled I have to clean the house. Sigh.

P.S. The posts dealing with you-know-who really shouldn’t be out there for anyone to read so from now on, I’ll protect them. I’ll use the same password to make it easier and I’ll send it out soon. Thanks guys!!

Enjoy your weekend! Tommy is trying to drag me to Ironman and I just don’t think I have it in me. BTW: I work over by 24th and Indian School…are you anywhere near that during the week to catch lunch?

Yeah I agree…about making “those” blogs protected. That’s a very private and personal matter.

Happy early bday to the “R-ah!”

Betty: I love to give R a hard time and act like Jessica Simpson does Navy. Cuz I’m really not knowing… then he launches into huge long explanations WHY things are such and such - he loves it.

Mary: I’m at 24th and Washington! We can meet halfway! I’ll email you!

Angel: Wouldn’t it be nice?? Happy Mom’s day to you too, darling! You’re a rockin’ momma!!

Kari: Thanks honey! R’s kinda grumpy this trip (lot on his mind) but I’ll let him slide. This once. ;)

Inga: I’ll pass on the bday wishes. Might make the age feel better. haha!

Brandi: Happy Momma’s Day, hot momma!

Trixie: As long as he doesn’t steal my Mom’s day thunder like he did last year (his bday was the same day). Man that sucked. I need some breakfast in bed, the house cleaned… SOMETHING!!

Sarah: I’m afraid I built it up too much. The thing is, R is extremely hard to shop for - EXTREMELY. So when I think of things he’ll a) actually like and b) actually use - I get excited. I got him a portable DVD player and Big Trouble in Little China DVD (his favorite movie). I didn’t know if he could USE the DVD player til I consulted with Ms. Betty. ;)

    And thank you!

Corey: It’s so not a big deal. Le sigh. lol! He’s a man of few needs and he buys everything he wants. HATE IT!! I hope he likes what I got him.
