I’m here and reporting for duty, sir

Yes, yes… it’s been so long. And it would probably be even longer except people (and by people, I mean Inga. Okay, fine… other people, too) have been bugging me to post something. I neglect the blog. The blog, it is neglected.

I was trying to post a nice sequence of events for you all but R kept interrupting me: “What are you blogging about, blogger?” and I went and lost my mojo. That R! *shake fist* Let’s try a list. When in doubt, list it out!

- I got the job in L.A. but only after a TWO WEEK approval process.

- Apparently, AZ took eons to get them the background check.

- AZ sucks.

- But, being a huge believer in “everything happens for a reason”, I’m just going to roll with that.

- It did suck turning the job down, though, but I felt good that the offer was extended.

- Kinda like being nominated, but not winning the award.

- Actually, it’d be more like WINNING the award, but giving it back.

- Where am I going with this?

- What am I talking about?!

- Let’s move on…

- I got the job here rather quickly.

- Rather quickly after FOUR interviews.

- Two of them, panel.

- *shake in boots*

- Actually, I wore heels.

- Both times.

- But that’s all I’m going to say since we all know the rules re: blogging about work… *zip lip*

- Great company, though… shhh…

- My apartment complex wanted a ridiculous amount to break the lease.

- There’s getting screwed, REALLY getting screwed and then there’s… THAT.

- A few days ago, I got a flyer on my door for a resident referral coupon.

- It made me laugh.

- LIKE I’D TELL ANYONE TO LIVE HERE.

- I’m sick.

- Really sick.

- I think Nic gave me her sickness when I went to her house for Easter.

- Ham, mashed potatoes, fruit kebabs, deviled eggs… and a side of crud.

- It was really fun, though.

- Afterwards, the 3 of us (R, the kid and I) went to see my brother R and sis-in-law B since they were in town.

- By “in town”, I mean “Scottsdale”.

- R has met quite a bit of my family.

- But there’s still a LOT more.

- My brother R, R (lol) and I drank pina coladas by the pool while the kids frolicked in the pool.

- The life.

- That was before I got sick.

- Really sick.

- I don’t get sick that often. Not like this.

- I’m driving R crazy with the whining.

- I can’t help it.

- Honnnneeeeeey, can you make me some teaaaaaaaaa? *sad face*

- I still went out last night.

- I couldn’t help that, either.

- It had been too long.

- I’m paying for it today, though.

- Actually, I’d feel like crap anyway soo - who cares?

- I had fun but…

- Men are weird.

- One guy at the bar asked what I was drinking…

- Ordered said drink from bartender…

- And still had me pay for it.

- Don’t get me wrong, I can buy my own drinks.

- I just think that’s weird.

- Really weird.

- One guy, really nice dresser, DID buy me a drink.

- But, he was married.

- We cancelled each other out, since hello?

- I have R.

- But I find it interesting that married guy has manners…

- Single man doesn’t.

- Must be why Mr. Married IS married.

- Mr. Married said: I don’t want anything from you or anything, I’m just being polite… but would you like a drink?

- Women need more men like him.

- He’s from Kalamazoo.

- Let’s go there.

- Actually, you go. I’ll stay.

- I have R.

- And thank God for that!

Lmao! This blog made me laugh from beginning to end. And yes, men in ARIZONA are fruitcakes. Ugh, don’t get me started. *pulls out hair*

Finally! (And yes, I went to Mia’s first - shoot me)

Ummm… AZ men are weird. I would have never even PONDERED a man ordering me a drink but not buying said drink.

I guess Southern men aren’t THAT bad after all.

    HGE

I remember when I use to do background checks that Maricopa county took FO-EVA!

I hear ya on the lease thing. I checked into breaking mine early. First it would be a sixty day notice, and then after I moved out I would still have to pay two more months rent. Are they out of their minds?! Cannot WAIT to get out of here in October!

  6. Blondie on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

HGE: I couldn’t believe he did that. Granted, I was about to order another drink anyway but what if I didn’t want one? What is going on here? Crazy men in AZ, I tell you.

Kari: R is doing some temp work at a law firm and he said all the lawyers are up in arms on how long stuff is taking. Apparently other states take 2-3 days but good ol’ AZ took 5 times that. I probably would have moved if it weren’t for that. Oh, my lease break was 60 days notice, 2 months rent PLUS $200 a month for every month I’ve lived here since it was a special price they were giving me. RIGHT. So, all in all about 5k. NO THANKS.

AZ leasing agents are straight up biyotches, dealt with them for too many years. They do nothing to help the tenants! NOTHING. I lived in a place on Bell & Central and the fire sprinkler randomly set off and flooded my apartment, ruined documents, my sons baby pictures and we had to be out of the apartment for 4 days. They gave me a $50 off coupon. Then had the nerve to try and charge me for carpet damage, UH YAH!

Congrats on getting both the jobs, you go girl!

I can’t believe that guy ordered you a drink and made you pay for it. Idiot, he should be smacked. LOL Good to hear from you, I was waiting!

Hey, girl! Glad you finally blogged a lil’ sumthin’ sumthin’! Sorry you’re not feeling so hot…TRUST ME, I know how you feel, I was sick with some kind of crazy flu-like thing for a MONTH AND A HALF STRAIGHT. Thank God for my million sick days at work or I’d be out of a house and everything I own! Hope you feel better soon…and if not, get yourself to MY doctor, who will prescribe you lots of great drugs. LOL!

You are right married men are much nicer than single men. I mean not that I get him or on anything like that *flips hair*. I hope you feel better =)

I’ve been waaaiiting and waiiiting and wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaiting for you to post.

Glad about the new job. :) Yay for you XD

That’s SO odd about that dude and the drink. He probably thought he was all smooth too and went back bragging to his friends about how he ordered a drink for this girl and SHE had to pay for it.

    Bex: Thanks doll! Missed you!

Amneris: *sad face* I am feeling better but still pretty crappy. Thanks. Sigh.

Prila: Yay! You make my every day brighter! Um, I sound like a stalker. HEH!

Angel: I have noticed AZ as a whole just don’t believe in consumer rights. Every time things have come up, the laws and such are ALWAYS on the business side. Can I move to California already? Jeeeeeeeez…

Rei: Whatever this is that I have seems like its going to stick around a while. YUCK. I want great drugs! lmao!!

char: Yeah like married men at work are always nicer, too. They learn to sit down and shut up! ha!

NK: Thanks darling. RIP Rocky. :(

Corey: Maybe it was an April Fools like 2 days early or something. lol!!
